The Right Fit Is Everything
TO KEEP OUR STAFF AND CUSTOMERS SAFE, BIKE FITTINGS ARE NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE
Cycling is the perfect synergy of human and machine. But when the machine causes discomfort or slows you down, that synergy suffers. A properly fitting bike is not only more comfortable, it also minimizes the risk of injury while maximizing your cycling power and efficiency.
Wild Rock Outfitters’ offers a full suite of professional bicycle fitting services from our Bike Fit Studio, located in our downtown Peterborough shop. Whether you’re a recreational cyclist looking to ride more comfortably or a racer hoping to maximize power and efficiency on your bike, we can help.
Our fit staff are trained by Trek Fit Services and have years of experience fitting road, mountain, multi-sport and hybrid bikes. We will expertly assess you off and on the bike, determine what changes can be made based on your needs, and help you set-up your bike to give you the best riding experience possible.
2D Bike Setup
- Recreational cyclists
- New cyclists
- Trail riders
Whether you have a new bike, or are trying to avoid injury, it’s important to make sure your bike is setup correctly. This setup uses your body dimensions to determine your riding position, seat height, saddle and handlebar position. This is the very least you should do if you are planning to ride a new or new to you bike, or if your bike is “just not comfortable.”.
The Dynamic Fit
- Recreational & enthusiast road/gravel cyclists
- Cyclists clipped into pedals
- Riders who are on their bike a lot
- Riders with knee & foot discomfort
Maximizing comfort, efficiency and performance is essential for anyone spending a lot of time on their road or gravel bike. The Dynamic Fitting focuses on the knee and foot, and their interactions with the ankle while in motion on a bike. We use Shimano Dynamics Lab interactive video and 3D motion analysis to fine-tune your position and dramatically reduce the risk of injury.
The Dynamic Fitting - Triathlon & TT
- Road & gravel cyclists
- Any bike with aero bars
Maximizing comfort, efficiency and performance is essential for anyone spending a lot of time on their road or gravel bike. The Dynamic Fitting for Triathlon and Time Trials is geared to road cyclists with aero bars. It focuses on the knee and foot, and their interactions with the ankle while in motion on a bike, using Shimano Dynamics Lab interactive video and 3D motion analysis. This allows us to fine-tune your position and dramatically reduce the risk of injury.
The Mountain Bike Fitting
- Performance mountain bikes
- Full suspension mountain bikes
- Hard tail mountain bikes
This fitting is designed to get you the most out of your performance mountain bike. In a Mountain Bike Fitting, we use an in-depth pre-fit rider interview as well as key body assessments (lower body, upper body and flexibility) to adapt the bike to the rider. This assessment of suspension setup and body position will give you more control and confidence on the trail.

If the Shoe Fits
For maximum power transfer on the road or trail and for exceptional comfort on a spin bike, we recommend clipless cycling shoes and pedals. With stiffer soles and the ability to click into and out of your pedal system easily, cycling shoes make your ride and your workout more efficient, more effective, and more comfortable. Never get stuck in a toe cage again!
